Elementary Music
The general music classroom starts at the Kindergarten level at East Leroy Elementary School. Students are challenged with learning notes, rhythm, composing their own songs, singing in a variety of styles, playing recorders, bucket drumming and many more elements of music throughout their elementary music careers.
Band
The Athens Band Program is a great opportunity for students to continue their musical endeavors after 5th grade. 5th and 6th grade band serve as preparing years and the 7th-12th grade band is the performing group. Students in this band perform at football games, community events, and perform when traveling on band trips.
